My Other Brother (MOB), Camberwell 3124

Loud and pumping music, bright colours and one of the trendiest crowds I've seen around - MOB is a staple on the Camberwell brunch scene. Approaching the cafe it reminded me more of a nightclub than a cafe but let's see whether the food was just as cool!

First off...IT IS SO LOUD INSIDE. There is no way to have a conversation when indoors as the loud EDM music is well and truly blasting. If you're looking to have a nice chill chat then I advise getting a seat outside. Otherwise the decor is ultra trendy and you would never know you were in the middle of the suburbs. It is very busy though so look at non peak times to turn up so that you can get some good service - food was very slow getting out for us.

For savoury we had the Eggs Benny (Southern fried chicken, chipotle hollandaise, dark rye, poached eggs) which was extremely disappointing. The fried chicken was dry and cold and had no sauce to accompany it. These flaws combined with the overload of bread to actual food made for a pretty boring dish that was not finished. Skip it.

We hoped the the dessert (Nutella Hong Kong Waffles) could improve on savouries but were once again faced with something very average. The waffles were nice but needed some more sauce or Nutella as the dish was so dry again. The elements that were there were done well though such as the marscapone and the waffles but there needed to be some more freshness though - perhaps more fruit or more than just a streak of berry sauce.

Overall, there are better places in the area to try and with so many options I would say skip this one...
